Simone Bianchi 2008 Full Sketchbook Review

Here we are Christmas is just around the corner and we tried not to disappoint. Here we're going back to 2008 and looking at the Simone Bianchi Sketchbooks of years past. This one in particular is geared towards any X-men fan. Right around this time was when Simone started working on the Astonishing X-men with Warren Ellis. THe very beginning of when things started to get big for him. You'll see more tight finished pencils in this sketchbook and lots of x-men covers. Mostly they are the sketches of the covers he worked on which I personally like to see. There's a lot less draft work and it seems like there's a lot of thought put into what was going to be published on each page. You'll see mostly the typical X-Men costumes, I think mostly because he wasn't going to take to many big risk yet this soon. But the style in which he executes the pencils is amazing even back in 2008. Enjoy this one and we'll have the filler years to come in a short time. Leave your own thoughts and let us know what you think about this, we always love to hear from our readers. Take special note of the back cover. Every year that photo changes. Interesting and peculiar.

Simone Bianchi Exclusive 2008 Sketchbook Preview

We couldn't get enough Simone so we decided it best to get to work on another sketchbook for your eyes. This one definitely has a lot more finished tight pencil pieces. Which we much rather prefer (It's like getting a bunch of sketch covers to look at all in one book). So enjoy the 2008 art pieces right about the time when he started to take over Astonishing X-men. Check back here soon for updates on the whole review.

Simone Bianchi San Diego SDCC 2012 Sketchbook review

December is well through and the holidays are reaching their climax. Time for a final push to get all your gifts ready and prepped. We're busy trying to fill the gifts for you readers. An accelerated schedule of Gifts for your eyes only is set to be unleashed upon each one of you. So here's the first and be ready to get more.

Simone Bianchi the Italian water colour and painted comic book artist is finally here. We have the full review of his newest sketchbook from the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. My personal opinion his art is extremely detailed but I noticed that unlike most top comic artist he doesn't draw the female figure to my tasting. What he doesn't do with the female figure he more then makes up for when working on villains or the more important big name super heroes. For me this is really what matters because the capturing and composition of each final piece is pretty near life like. As well his style tends to bring a more vibrant colour layout to each character (he's got a great compliment in his colourist). Hence typical scans do not do the book justice, a photo had to be taken to fully translate the vibrance and experience. So lets get to it. We love the double splash pages in this sketchbook.
